Hi, my name is Malachy Mathews.

I have always had an interest in art and painting. My own painting has developed over many years. There are gaps where I did not paint for years but the desire was always there. In 2009 I discovered the work of Judi Whitton. (https://judiwhitton.weebly.com/gallery.html) When I saw what she was doing the urge to get back painting became too strong to resist. So i started in earnest and managed to put together some light, colour and shape paintings. My favourite of this period being the Swiss Clock Tower in Berne, Indiana, USA.

I put down the brushes once again between 2017 and 2021 to concentrate on completing a PhD. I duly did this and graduated in October 2021. I took up the brushes in January 2022 and these works are on Galleries 6, 5, 4 and some specific sites in and around Drogheda on pages 1 and 2.

I will undertake commissions from photographs in my style, but please note that i paint landscapes, seascapes and buildings,
